SUMMARY:It has come to our attention that the exhaust valves on various 49cc recent shipments have been set tight from factory.
REMEDY:Please be sure follow the Owner's Maintenance Schedule Guide booklet, included with each scooter, and inspect and adjust valve clearance during the following intervals for optimum performance:
  • PDI - New 0 miles
  • Every 6 months or 3720 miles
  • Every 12 months or 7440 miles

Valve clearance should be adjusted between .004-.006. Some dealers have reported to adjust the exhaust valves to .008. We have brought this issue to our manufacturer's attention so future shipments will have better calibrations from factory. In the meantime, please be sure to inspect the valve clearance on all units especially 49cc units you have on the floor during PDI and also during routine maintenance services.

If you encounter this issue, please email: Simon Liang at simon@lancepowersports.com the vin number and mileage so we can investigate further.
